K. V. Switzer was not removed from course. The race director tried to remove her and was clocked by her running partner/boyfriend/huge football player bodyguard. Her finish time was just over 4 hours.

I can't tell you how much it means to me that A5K is featuring Dustin along with Cancer Control Month. I could go on and on about how much he means to our local running community, and how much every single one of us would run a thousand miles if it would take this challenge away. But he is facing it with courage and a world of support. The fact that the A5K community will be joining that support is something incredible. Thank you.

Well, I only have hope of winning age group prizes in sparsely attended runs in South Georgia and extreme rural North Florida, BUT, I used to have a misguided thing about courtesy at the finish line. I was talked out of THAT. Today I passed someone about six inches before. I guess that makes me a "cheetah" (?). Embarrassed to say I think I barked at her when she inadvertenly got in line in front of me before finish line cards were handed out. Then I apologized a bunch of times. Guess that makes me a dog. :-)
